I AM SURPRISED HOW CONGRESS IS CLAIMING CREDIT FOR PROJECTS SANCTIONED BY THE UNION GOVERNMENT

  • BJP MP miffed over Congress claim for the 4-lane Road
  •  Rs. 722 crores sanctioned for Beawar-Gomti 4-Lane
  •  Expresses gratitude to Modi, Gadkari and the Union Government

Jaipur, 3 June: Rajsamand MP, Diya Kumari, today expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari for the financial sanction of the Beawar-Gomti 4-Lane. The 100-km road will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 722 crores.

Diya Kumari said that she was surprised that the  Congress Government in Rajasthan was claiming credit for the financial sanction of this prestigious project, for which she had been working so hard for the past one year. The people of the constituency are well aware that whose

efforts have brought this project to them.

The MP said that it is most surprising that on one hand, the Congress keeps saying that the Union Government is doing nothing and on the other hand, for the projects sanctioned by the Union Government, they are claiming credit. By merely issuing press notes one does not get credit. “Both inside the Lok Sabha as well as outside, I have lobbied and worked hard with complete earnestness for this 4-Lane project, “ she said.

It is to be recalled that during the election last year too, Diya Kumari had promised the electorate that she would pitch strongly for this project. The 100-km stretch will be completed in two parts. The first 50-km stretch will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 380.29 crores and the final 50-km stretch at a cost of Rs. 341.33 crores. According to the project, along with 6 flyovers, 40 smaller bridges will also be constructed. After the Beawar-Gomti 4-lane is completed, travel from Delhi to Jaipur, Ajmer, Beawar, Rajsamand, Udaipur and Ahmedabad will be facilitated.
