Appreciates Modi Government for speedy decision -Centre says even if the lustre of wheat is reduced by 10%, it will get full price.
Jaipur, 13 May: Rajsamand MP Diya Kumari has expressed her gratitude to entire Modi Government, including Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan on the big relaxation given to farmers on wheat procurement.
According to the decision taken by the Union Government, even if the lustre loss of wheat is up to 10%, the farmers will get the full price. If the lustre loss of wheat containing more than 10% and up to 50% affected kernels may be purchased with reduction of Rs. 4.81/- per quintal. The Central Government has issued a written order in this regard to the Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Government of Rajasthan.
It is to be recalled that on 30 April, Rajsamand MP Diya Kumari had sent a letter to Union Minister Paswan regarding the injustice being done to the farmers.
On request for relaxation in the uniform specifications of wheat by the MP, the Central Government has issued guidelines today.
The MP said that the Modi Government specialises in taking important decisions speedily.
