MP DIYA KUMARI MEETS UNION AGRICULTURE MINISTER IN NEW DELHI
Jaipur, 4 June: Rajsamand MP, Diya Kumari, today met the Union Agriculture Minister, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar in New Delhi. She discussed issues relating to increasing the Government purchase of
wheat and grams. She also urged for expanding the ambit of NREGA to include agriculture work relating to cutting of crops, ploughing, weeding, irrigation, animal husbandry, making of organic fertilisers, etc. The MP also highlighted the problems being faced by the farmers relating to the locust menace. She appealed for them to be provided compensation. She also requested for the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), which has already been announced, to be established in Jaitaran. She also urged for the inclusion of the Rajsamand district in the National Horticulture Mission.
The Union Minister assured that he would positively look into the concerned issues.
